IN OUR SCHOOL

In this project, I worked hands-on with small groups of third grade students in an inquiry-based video making activity. Students in each group decided on a topic to investigate by brainstorming people, events, and other aspects of their school that they wanted to know more about. Using this topics as a jumping off point, I led each group through the processes of how to research the topic, draw up lists of questions and conduct interviews, gather visual material, and compile all that they have learned about the topic into a short video piece. Through this process, students composed documents of their learning together, based on their chosen topics of "Fish Facts", "School History", "Minecraft", and others.
